Drying marijuana can be done in many different ways and all of these methods surely have stood the test of time. All of the methods have produced a high-quality batch of marijuana so it’s important that you follow them correctly.

Screen Drying
This particular method involves the use of a screen and spreading the buds out on it until it becomes perfectly dry. For the screen to be used – you can either use the ones from the windows of your home or you can just simply acquire a special screen rack. The reason why screens are great for dry marijuana is because it allows proper airflow from different directions and if spacing is maintained then it can be stacked like the shelves on a food dehydrator.
Screens are ideal for small marijuana buds since they can’t be easily hanged for them to be dried off. This is sometimes the case when you shuck the buds from the stems so that it can be fed through an automatic style trimming machine.
Drying Lines
Using a wire or rope lines connecting from wall to wall is probably the most common and easiest way to hang things. As the bud dries off, the water that is stored in the stem will slowly wick into the bud thus making the drying process go slow. If the drying process is slow then the results will provide an even smoother taste of your weed. Before hanging the buds for drying, make sure to remove the leaves first so that it will increase the airflow and decrease the humidity inside the room. Also, it will reduce the chances of the development of molds as the buds hang dry.
Cage Drying
If you want a self-supporting and mobile way to dry marijuana, then you can use wire cages to dry it. All you have to do is let the cage stand on one end then let the buds hang ranging from 2-10” in length on the exterior of the cage.
Since these cages are mobile, they can be easily positioned by table top trimming machines and then moved around once they are full. If this is what you plan on doing, then you can consider the 4 foot tall fence to allow you to easily hang the buds from a seated position. Another advantage to the cage’s mobility is that it can be transferred closer or farther away from fans, heaters, and dehumidifiers to ensure the drying process.
If there is not enough room and you need more of it, these cages can also be hanged on high ceilings. All you have to do is put a slim board at the top of the cage and let it hang from a rafter using a rope. You can also use these cages again for the outdoor garden next year.
